Interesting Animals

There are animals we never see in temperate regions. There are so many animals we do not get 'around here'. Some are very different. Some are like ours. Some are like the ones that are here. But there are so many we do not get. This is why they are found in the Polar Regions, and live in the Arctic Circle (and the Antarctic Circle) respectively.

Polar Bears and Beluga Whales are white because of the snow. It is an adaptation. Both have fur and thick blubber to keep them warm in the snow.

The Northern Lights

This is one of the Northern Lights. Where do the Northern Lights come from?
The Northern Lights are beautiful and rare. One must travel far to see them.
The Inuksuk is a symbol of remembrance that is used by First Nations Indigenous Peoples.

Northern Lights are one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in the world. The arise from the interaction of the gases in the atmosphere with cosmic rays from the sun. They are visible only when it is dark, however, in winter at the polar regions, because the sun does not rise you can see the most beautiful show in the skies.
